Tim Trottier Named Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center

LEWISTON, IDAHO – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) announced today that Tim Trottier has been named chief executive officer (CEO), effective January 13. Trottier replaces Mike Poore, who has been serving as interim CEO while the hospital conducted a search to find its next permanent leader.

“Tim is deeply committed to our mission of Making Communities Healthier, and we are excited to introduce him to SJRMC and the Lewiston community,” said Sandy Podley, president of LifePoint Health’s Western Division, of which SJRMC is a part. “Tim’s understanding of and passion for community-based healthcare will be a valuable asset to the hospital and the community, and we look forward to everything St. Joseph Regional Medical Center will accomplish under his leadership.”

Trottier joins SJRMC from Spring View Hospital, another LifePoint Health facility in Lebanon, Kentucky, where he has served as CEO since 2014. Prior to joining LifePoint, he served in a number of executive leadership roles for other healthcare organizations, including as senior vice president (SVP) of regional operations for Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia; CEO of Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania; CEO of Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez, Mississippi; and CEO of Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, West Virginia, among others. Prior to his career in healthcare, Tim was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant Armor in the U.S. Army following his military training and was later honorably discharged from service at the rank of captain. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).

“Tim has all of the ideal qualities and experience we were looking for in a new leader for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center,” said Ella Mae Keatts, MSN, RN, chairman of the hospital’s board of trustees. “His commitment to building relationships, fostering growth and prioritizing quality and patient safety will be a tremendous benefit to our region. We are so pleased he is joining the St. Joseph family, and we look forward to working with him to continue the exceptional work already underway here.”

Trottier earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seattle University and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).

“I am excited to join the St. Joseph team and help further solidify the hospital’s legacy of providing high quality care for the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding area,” said Trottier. “This hospital is a vital asset to this community, and I am looking forward to working alongside this dedicated team as we embark on the next chapter together and continue to seek new and greater ways to advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier.”
