Brentwood, Tenn. (April 18, 2019) – LifePoint Health®, a leading healthcare company dedicated to Making Communities Healthier®, today announced that Sonny Terrill has been appointed executive vice president, human resources for the organization.

In this newly-created position, Sonny will be responsible for all aspects of human resources and talent development across the company’s 30-state footprint, taking over human resources oversight roles held by John Bumpus, executive vice president, administration and Pam Belcher, senior vice president, human resources and talent development, who will both retire later this year.

“We are pleased to welcome Sonny to our team,” said David Dill, president and chief executive officer of LifePoint Health. “He has an extensive background in human resources and a great track record of helping growing companies across the nation advance how they foster and recruit top talent and establish excellent, dynamic workplaces. He is ideally poised to build on the wonderful foundation we have laid and enrich the many ways we create places employees want to work as we continue to grow within the communities we serve and expand into new regions.”

Sonny brings to LifePoint three decades of human resources experience, joining the company from BrightSpring Health in Louisville, Kentucky, where he served as executive president and chief human resources officer. Prior to BrightSpring, he held human resources leadership positions at companies including CIGNA, HealthSpring and A.O. Smith. He has expertise across the talent management and leadership development spectrum, and has seen diverse companies through periods of significant growth and change.

Sonny and his wife, Kim, reside in Franklin, Tennessee, and have one daughter, Hunter.
