Lifepoint Health Promotes Three Leaders to Senior Vice President Roles

Brentwood, Tenn. (December 6, 2023) - Lifepoint Health®, a diversified healthcare delivery network dedicated to making communities healthier, today announced that three leaders have been promoted to senior vice president (SVP):

  • Elliott Brown, who previously served as treasurer and vice president of finance and investor relations, has been named SVP, treasurer;
  • Emily Serck, who previously served as vice president, communications, has been named SVP, communications and corporate affairs; and
  • Charles Wang, who previously served as chief of staff, has been named SVP, strategy and chief of staff.

Brown joined Lifepoint in 2010. He has been a key member of the company’s financial leadership team, overseeing its consolidated financial reporting functions and facilitating several transactions and financing activities during periods of tremendous growth and change. In his new role, Brown will extend his leadership in collaborating with executive leaders on investor relations, overseeing relationships with financial stakeholders, and partnering with the chief financial officer and operational leaders on forecasting, modeling and analysis.

Prior to Lifepoint, Brown served as senior associate at Ernst & Young, LLP. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting from Auburn University.

Serck has been a leader in Lifepoint’s communications department since 2016. In her new position, she will continue to lead the company’s communications and corporate affairs functions, which include internal communications, culture-building initiatives, crisis and issues management, reputation and brand management, corporate social responsibility, and diversity, equity and inclusion. She also oversees the Lifepoint Health Community Foundation and supports communications and community engagement with leaders across the Lifepoint footprint.

Serck previously served as senior executive advisor at Jarrard Inc. in Nashville, Tenn. and senior account manager at DCI Group in Washington, DC. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Wang joined Lifepoint in 2021 and has led successful operational transformation projects. In his new role, he will continue to work closely with executive leaders, providing strategic guidance, coordination and support for company initiatives and priorities. He also will build a team focused on developing and executing strategic special projects that support Lifepoint’s growth and advance its mission.

Prior to Lifepoint, Wang served as vice president, strategy and operations, at Optum. He holds a master’s degree in health science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
