(Brentwood, Tenn.) – July 31, 2018 – LifePoint Health, Inc., (NASDAQ: LPNT) today announced the completion of a transaction with Allegiance Health Management (AHM) in which the Company sold its ownership interest in three Louisiana hospital campuses and associated assets: Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, Acadian Medical Center (a campus of Mercy Regional) in Eunice, and Minden Medical Center in Minden.
AHM is based in Shreveport, La. and is a regional leader in healthcare operations in Louisiana and surrounding states. As part of its system, these hospitals will have expanded opportunities for regional collaboration and to create regional networks to reach and positively impact the lives of even more people.
With the transaction completed, LifePoint Health now operates 68 hospital campuses and regional health systems, as well as physician practices, outpatient centers and post-acute service providers in 22 states. The Company continues to focus on fostering the growth and success of its facilities, enhancing quality care and patient safety, and pursuing new markets where the organization can make a difference.
