Brentwood, Tenn. (November 9, 2021) – LifePoint Health®, a leading healthcare company dedicated to Making Communities Healthier®, today announced the appointment of Charles Wang to the role of chief of staff.
In this role, Wang will work closely with LifePoint Health’s president and chief executive officer (CEO) David Dill, as well as the organization’s senior leadership, to provide strategic guidance, coordination and support for company initiatives and priorities. Wang will serve as a trusted liaison and advisor for LifePoint, managing key projects and strengthening organizational culture as the company continues to become the leader in the delivery of community-based care.
“Charles is an experienced healthcare strategy and operations leader with a proven track record of driving successful operational transformation programs,” Dill says. “He will play an integral role in our pending acquisition of Kindred Healthcare and the integration process, and he will be instrumental in our company’s ongoing efforts to advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier in new and exciting ways.”
Wang joins LifePoint Health from Optum, where he served as vice president, strategy and operations. Prior to that role, he served as a senior associate at McKinsey and Company, where he focused exclusively on serving healthcare providers. He holds a master’s degree in health science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
