Johnstown, PA (October 28, 2020) – LifePoint Health, owner and operator of the LifePoint Health Business Services Center (BSC) in Johnstown, PA, has entered into a new revenue cycle management (RCM) agreement with R1 RCM, a leader in technology-enabled RCM services for healthcare providers. The agreement between LifePoint and R1 is designed to enhance patient experience and streamline operations to meet the evolving needs of the health system now and into the future for the communities LifePoint serves.
As part of the agreement, R1 will continue operations of the revenue cycle functions currently performed by the BSC in Johnstown, with the goal of making the location a key delivery center within R1’s shared services network. All BSC employees will be offered positions with R1.
LifePoint Health has operated the BSC in Johnstown since 2016. In the four years since LifePoint opened the center, 154 new professional positions were created. R1 expects to further support the community and local economy, building on the foundation of exceptional service and results for which the BSC has become known. Furthermore, the transition to R1 will enable the hospitals supported by the BSC (including Conemaugh Health System) to maintain their commitment to providing high-quality care while enhancing the patient financial process from start to finish.
