Logan Memorial Hospital
Welcome to Russellville, where history and rural charm meet progressive achievement and industrial technology in one of Kentucky's oldest counties.
Logan Memorial Hospital is a 75-bed facility providing a number of inpatient and outpatient medical services to the people of Logan County and the surrounding areas. The hospital’s state-of-the-art technology includes a dual-head digital nuclear imaging system, CT scanning with 3-D capabilities and advanced cardiac imaging.
Steeped in history, Logan County is home to four Kentucky governors and a Historic Walking Tour in downtown Russellville, where much of the city center is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Shaker Museum in nearby South Union allows insight into the Shaker way of life and is one of only seven such U.S. communities open to the public.
Russellville plays host to a popular city park system with a wide variety of recreational opportunities and picnic facilities, as well as the Carpenter Center, a fitness and aquatics facility for families and individuals. Nearby Lake Malone – spanning 788 acres – is enclosed by dramatic 50-foot sandstone bluffs and offers boating swimming, fishing, camping, a marina and a beach area. Laurel Trail provides picturesque views and a rich tapestry of native flora. The Red River is a canoeing favorite. And the 41-acre Glad State Nature Preserve boasts sightings of rare plants like the Carolina larkspur and glade violet.
