Colorado Plains Medical Center
Welcome to Fort Morgan, a friendly town with convenient access to some of America's best ski resorts and the rich cultural life of the Mile High City. Big enough to have it all, small enough to be a delightful hometown.
Colorado Plains Medical Center serves a two-county area of 35,000 residents with inpatient and outpatient care at its 50-bed acute care facility and physician practices. Established in 1952, it is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is designated as a Level III Trauma Center.
Founded on the eastern plains of Colorado in 1884, Fort Morgan now serves as the commercial hub of the northeastern part of the state and offers a multitude of cultural and educational resources. It is home to the Fort Morgan School District, Morgan Community College, a 45,000-volume public library, the Fort Morgan Museum, the Bob Stock and Glenn Miller music festivals and the world's largest open rodeo.
Fort Morgan supports a robust city recreation program, including an 18-hole municipal golf course. The 77-acre Riverside Park promises a plethora of family recreation opportunities, all adjacent to a 240-acre natural area with walking trails. The nearby Rocky Mountains beckon with world-renowned fly-fishing and winter sports. Pawnee Buttes National Grasslands is a hiker's and photographer's paradise, and Jackson State Park and Reservoir offers boating, water skiing and fishing.
